Here is some video from Friday's in over Antioch, and why it's great to be a
Coach Abbey Thomas is looking forward to a successful season. The girls
have done a lot of training this summer, like conditoning during the month of
June, a camp at Lipscomb in July, and Alliance Elite Camp in August. Coach
Abbey says she has a lot of young players that seem to be learning great and
that will grow into fabulous competitors. Two of her promising young players are
Tylar Dortch (freshman) and Kennedi Douglas (freshman), they have been doing
particularly well so far. She also says she plans to...
Coach Sandy Stutts and Emily Johnson have been preparing a lot for this
season. Some things they have done to train are yoga, ab workouts, and
running. The teams biggest threat this year is going to be Central Magnet.
Coaches say they do have one promising young freshman,
that might help carry them closer to a victorious season. They say
this will be a fantastic year!
The Smyrna High football team will be participating in a jamboree against
Riverdale on Friday, August 15th at 6pm. Tickets sold this week during school
hours will be $5 and directly benefit Smyrna football. Tickets purchased at the
game will be $7 and split amongst all participating schools. Good luck
Tryout dates for the 2015 Lady Bulldog softball team have been released.
Tryous will be July 16-18 at 10am at the Smyrna High softball field. All forms

Houghteling, Jaleyah Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Morgan Knoblett, Caitlin Moore,
Sydney Moore, Kelsey Peebles, Nicole Randolph, Madyson Russell, Cheyanne
Scarlett, Sadie Thompson, Lanisha Townsend, Catherine Vandohlen, and Taylor
The Smyrna High Cheerleaders will be hosting a mini-camp from July 7th-10th.
Girls ages 5-13 are encouraged to attend. More information can be found on the

Girl's basketball tryouts will be held on May 30th at 4pm in the main gym.
All players will need to have all required paperwork prior to trying out.
